1. What is Takt? (Application Purpose)

Takt (https://takt.harisarshad.site/) is a productivity platform created by Haris Arshad. It is designed to help professionals manage daily task commitments without cognitive overload.

  • Task & Sprint Management: Rapid keyboard-first task capture with priorities (P1–P4), custom tags, checklists, and duration ETAs.
  • Kanban Cadence Swimlanes: Track work across stages (To Do, In Progress, Review, Completed) with tactile drag-and-drop.
  • 7-Day Calendar Horizon: Plan rolling week schedules with 1-click rollover to tomorrow.
  • Meeting Scratchpad: Capture standup minutes, client notes, and agendas with interactive Markdown checklists.
  • Pomodoro Focus Timer: 25-minute deep focus intervals directly tied to task completion.

2. Why Takt Requests Google User Data

When you choose to sign in with Google OAuth 2.0, Takt requests access strictly to basic identity profile information:

openid User ID Isolate workspace database records using Row-Level Security.
userinfo.email Email Verify account identity and sync tasks across devices.
userinfo.profile Name & Avatar Display user identity and attribute task activities.
Zero Sensitive Access Guarantee: Takt does NOT request, access, or store your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Calendar entries, or contacts.

Google Limited Use Policy Adherence & Data Deletion

Takt’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell user data, serve advertisements, or train AI models on user information.

Data Deletion: You retain complete ownership of your data. You can delete tasks in-app at any time, disconnect Takt in your Google Account Settings, or request complete account erasure by emailing harisengr73@gmail.com (processed within 7 business days).
